Road Biking in Addison County: Lake Champlain Bikeways
Middlebury is the jump-off point for some of the most amazing road rides in the U.S. We are in the Champlain Valley, home of the Lake Champlain Bikeways. We are at the foot of the Green Mountains, which offer some the most challenging and scenic climbing and descending anywhere.

Mountain biking in Middlebury begins within town limits on the Trail Around Middlebury (TAM).
The breathtaking Chandler Ridge-Leicester Hollow Loop begins at the Silver Lake Campground in Goshen, Vermont. Thanks to a joint effort by the Vermont Mountain Bike Association (VMBA) and the National Forest Service, we have Vermont's first serious mountain bike trail on National Forest land.
