We guarantee your fit There's no substitute for a trained eye when evaluating the factors involved in purchasing a road bike that truly fits you. My name is Justin Crocker, and this is the experience I offer you as a bike fitter:
I evaluate your anatomy (leg, arm, trunk measurements), your body flexibility and range of motion, and your pedaling style. We then establish a position that maximizes both your comfort and your pedaling efficiency. Sometimes this involves me going out and riding with you. Quirks in fit that don't show up when the bike is stationary become evident with the bike in motion, where balance is a factor. This is especially true while you are climbing, where you can significantly improve your performance by recruiting muscles other than your quads and calves. Once we establish your position, we use this to select the brand(s), model(s), and frame size that best suit:

At each listing, click on "more information" to see what services the fitter offers, how the fitter is rated by customers, and how many customers participated in the rating. From this page you can also connect with listings for other regions, both inside and outside of the U.S. Evaluating Your Potential Fit Technician If you decide you need a comprehensive fit, before you shop around I suggest you first visit the web site of Michael Sylvester. Michael was the head instructor at the Trek fit seminar I attended as part of Trek's Project One program. Michael is one of the top fitters in the U.S., and when he instructs others on bike fit, he has an uncanny ability to explain in lay terms why a particular bike fit principle is important. You may be struck by the Spartan nature of Michael's web site, and of his fit parlor, which has none of the advanced fit systems currently out in the bike world. Yes, there are some excellent tools available for bike fits, old and new, including laser guided measurement systems, motion capture, the Serotta Size Cycle, and Fit Kit™, to name just a few. Keep in mind, however, these tools are only as effective as the people who use them. The most important tool in bike fit is a knowledgeable fitter. | ![]() |
