Fit:  Which Cannondale Geometry Works for You?

Cannondale has five distinct road bike geometries that accommodate high and medium body flexibilities.  Cannondale currently has no road models suitable for riders with low flexibility.  If the Cannondale geometry does fit you, however, you will find it offers comfort and high performance in both its carbon and its aluminum models:

Cannondale SuperSix and Cannondale CAAD10 -- carbon and aluminum renditions of the same racing geometry, for high flexibility and athletic medium flexibility riders (with stem flipped up)
Cannondale CAAD8 -- aluminum frames for high flexibility and medium flexibility riders
Cannondale Synapse -- carbon and aluminum frames designed especially for vibration-damping high performance, for high flexibility and medium flexibility riders
Cannondale SuperSix Women's and Cannondale CAAD10 Women's -- for high flexibility and some medium flexibility women
Cannondale Synapse Women's carbon and alloy -- for high flexibility and medium flexibility women

New for '12 -- the Cannondale EVO

695 grams for a 56cm frame?  The new Cannondale EVO is pushing the envelope on lightweight production frames.  Watch for it under the legs Liquigas-Cannondale's top climbers in this year's big races.

Cannondale Aluminum -- Watch for the CAAD10 under the legs of the MetLife Racing Team during the '11 racing season!

Due to our April/May flood season, we are over-stocked on CAAD10s.  What we have left are available for great prices.

The Cannondale CAAD10 is the best engineered aluminum race frame anywhere, and you will see it in '11 under the legs of the MetLife Racing team, one of New England's best.  Since Cervelo dropped the S1 for 2011, Cannondale has become the only major North American company that makes an aluminum racing frame that is truly competitive with carbon.

In New England racing this year, at least 10 percent of the riders we see are on CAAD10s, and the reason is simple:  many bike racers simply can't afford the money for a top-notch carbon frame.

Our initial feedback from MetLife on the CAAD10: "One of the stiffest frames I've ever ridden.  A little more road-feel up front, but comfort is not an issue.  This frame rocks!"

Two months into the season, one of our riders said, "If the CAAD10 was the only frame I rode for the rest of my racing career, I would be happy."  Check out this photo of Peter Bell winning the 2011 Lake Sunapee Road Race on his CAAD10 4.  The initial low cost of the CAAD10 4 gave Peter the leeway to upgrade the cranks (from SRAM Force to Cannondale Hollowgram) and put on a really nice set of race wheels.

The CAAD10 uses hydroformed tubing enhanced by Cannondale's BB30 bottom bracket and comes in four value-packed packages:

Cannondale CAAD10 1, Shimano Dura-Ace 7900 (brakes and cassette Ultegra 6700).  This is one of the best buys on the market; race ready right out of the box, with no upgrades.
Cannondale CAAD10 3, Shimano Ultegra 6700, race ready with a wheel upgrade.
Cannondale CAAD10 4, SRAM Rival, race ready with a wheel upgrade.
Cannondale CAAD10 5, Shimano 105 5700, race ready with a wheel upgrade.

Ditto for the weightweenies road forum -- you'll find more discussion of Cannondale Advanced Aluminum Design (CAAD) frames than all other aluminum frames put together.

Cannondale also offers affordable aluminum versions of it's plush-riding Synapse.

Cannondale Carbon

Two Grand Tours in one year?  Cannondale did it in '10, Ivan Basso and Vincenzo Nibali rode the Cannondale SuperSix to victory in the Giro and the Vuelta, respectively.  And when the cobblestones came in stage 3 of the '10 TdF, their Luiquigas team was on Cannondale's HI-MOD Synapse.

Cannondale's Hi-Modulus frames use 95% high modulus filaments for the top tube, and 90% high modulus filaments for the down and seat tubes.  The remainder of the filaments are medium modulus, for durability.  Both the SuperSix and the Synapse come in HI-MOD and standard versions.

Cannondale uses medium modulus filaments for their non-Hi-Modulus frames, which typically weigh about 100gm more than the same frame built with Hi-Modulus tubing.  The non-Hi-Modulus frames offer an exceptional value, especially this season, with three models between $2,000 and $3,000.
