The Trek 1.2 is the result of a happy marriage of two of Trek's most popular earlier road bikes: the Trek 1000, three years in a row Bicycling Magazine's Editors' Choice for best entry-level road bike, and the Trek Pilot 1.0.

The 1000 got many of our customers off to a great start, and the we expect that the 1.2 will do even better.  Why?  Because the 1.2 combines one of the best features of Trek's Pilot series -- a more upright riding position -- with the stable and lively ride of the old 1000.

A complete 56cm 1.2 now weighs under 22 pounds -- so it's lighter than the old-school racing bike Justin rode to 14th place in the grueling 1979 Mt. Washington Hill Climb.  All for just $700.  Come try one out!
