What's In Stock?

If The Bike Center carried just one of each size of every model in each of our lines, our stock would be over 700 bikes.  We hope this tidbit of information helps you understand why we're selective for models and sizes we stock on a regular basis.  Here's how we choose what we carry:

Value -- this is our number one priority.  We want you to get the best value for your investment.  Regardless if the price level, your bike should work well, be easy to service, and be a pleasure to ride.

Terrain -- It sometimes doesn't make sense for us to carry a type of bike that's popular in other parts of the country.  Beach cruisers may look cool, but they're for the Jersey Shore, not Vermont.  We sell bikes that do make sense for the local terrain.

Under $300 -- We work hard every year to ensure that we have a good selection of brand-name quality bicycles that cost under $300.

Our website will help you make an educated decision on what bike will best serve your purposes, and if we don't have it in stock, we'll order it.

Bike Specials

Diamondback Wildwood City -- mostly 15", just a few larger.  Basic 21spd with cruiser handlebars.  Original retail, $240, on sale for $199.

Raleigh Route 3.0 Hybrid -- variety of sizes, men's and women's.  We are always on the watch for closeouts that offer quality bicycles for under $300.  This is one of our best catches.  If you're looking for a quality aluminum frame that is comfortable, efficient, and fun, this is it.  Original price, $395, on sale for $295.

Cannondale Quick 4 -- nice commuter and recreation bike for people who like to go for longer rides.  Original price $600, on sale for $495.

Cannondale F7 Feminine -- petite and small sizes only.  This is a great bike for your growing child, girl or boy.  The silver frame color we purchased on closeout is very gender-neutral -- it is not marked as a woman's frame.  It is built up with a very nice 8spd (not 7) component group.  Original retail $395, on sale for $270.

Cannondale F7 Disc -- small size only.  For a person who is the right size, this is a great opportunity to hit the trails with a name-brand disc-brake hardtail, for an incredibly low price.  Original retail, $595, on sale for $370.

Cannondale F5 Disc -- large only 19".  2009 model, Rock Shox Dart 3 w/Turn Key Lock Out, 100 mm.  2010 has RST fork, $800, these two F5s are still only $700.

Raleigh XXIX Pro '09 -- 20" frame, built from Reynolds 853 tubing.  Raleigh's Pro 29er made the 2010 Velonews Buyer's Guide with SRAM's new XX 10spd mountain group.  This is last year's model, with 9spd SRAM X.O, Rock Shox Reba SL fork, Mavic Crossmax wheels, and SRAM Elixir brakes.  Original retail, $3,750, on sale for $2,400.  One day only -- purchase this on our Sales Tax Holiday, March 6, for only $2,000, tax free!
