Every Cannondale 'cross bike is built around a racing frame, but Cannondale has a well-earned reputation for engineering comfort into their racing frames.  So in addition to quick, responsive, and light, you have comfortable. 

Cannondale models go from entry-level to world cup, using both carbon and aluminum for frame materials.  All Cannondale 'cross bikes run a 46-36 up front, including the CAADX Tiagra, which also has a triple (50-39-30) option:

SuperX -- same BallisTec carbon fiber used for Cannondale's competition mountain bike frames, highly impact-resistant.  SAVE rear stays use flattened cross-sections as a micro-suspension system.
CarbonX Red -- really race ready out of the box

CAADX alloy -- Hourglass seat stays offer vertical compliance without sacrificing lateral rigidity:
