We guarantee your fit Take the factory tour in PezCycling News' July 24 article High performance, reliability, and light weight combine with an unmatched ability to resist oxidation, fatigue, and high impact. A well-made titanium frame retains its outstanding ride and appearance long after carbon, aluminum, and even steel have lost some of their luster. The Lynskey family founded Litespeed™ to manufacture titanium frames in 1986. When they sold Litespeed in 1999, the company had grown into the largest and most respected manufacturer of titanium frames in the world. In 2006, the Lynskeys formed the company that bears their name, Lynskey Performance Designs (press release: Velonews). No one knows titanium better than the Lynskeys. Before Lynskey Performance Designs While at Litespeed™, David Lynskey personally hand-built custom frames for some of the most demanding riders in the world. Here are a few examples:
David pioneered the use of super-hard 6Al-4V titanium for main frame tubes. 6Al-4V titanium is more difficult to shape than 3Al-2.5V, and had previously been used only for bottom bracket shells and rear drop-outs. For a more in-depth look at the man who may be designing your dream frame, see this article (scroll down to July 1998). Your New Frame Lynskey frames are not mass-produced, they are made to order. The prices are quite reasonable, especially when you consider the outstanding quality. At The Bike Center you can see and feel the following examples of Lynskey Performance Designs frames:
