Why Do We Like Speedplay Pedals?

Ever since Speedplay's first ad in Velonews, in February 1991, Justin, our sales manager, has been using Speedplay pedals.

We sell more Speedplay pedals than any other brand. Here's why:

Easy entry: There is no top and no bottom. After your initial learning curve (which you will have regardless of what brand you choose), getting in is a snap, literally and figuratively
Easy exit: It takes much less torque to kick loose on Speedplay.
No accidental exits: Speedplay's cleat-based locking mechanism resists release when pulling up or pushing down on the pedal. The amount of lateral movement required to exit makes it highly unlikely that you will click out accidentally, even when climbing out-of-the-saddle.
Knee friendly:  Customers with knee problems often find these are alleviated by Speedplay's floating systems, the X (up to 37 degrees of float), and the Zero (up to 15 degrees of float, with the option of 0 float).
